Spending time in the outdoors is an important piece of our program. Campers at Summerkids and Summer Challenge have the opportunity to hike almost every day of the summer. Campers at SK-PreK participate in shorter, age-appropriate hikes on a regular basis.

Trails criss-cross our 57-acre property and take us further into the Angeles National Forest. They meander past a creek with water that runs year-round, and through a forest rich with pine and oak trees, scrub brush, sage and sycamores. One trail ends at a water fall.

All of our campers hike in age-appropriate groups. SK-PreKers and younger Summerkids campers often start with simple, one-period hikes, while older campers get the chance during the summer to go for half- and even whole-day hikes. Summer Challengers often venture into our wilderness for more exciting adventures, including visits to a rock wall on our property.
